Watching roller derby in San Francisco: Surprisingly cheap fun. Like pro wrestling on skates.

Steph and I went out with Sushmita, Theo and Steph's coworkers a few months ago for Roller Derby. We watched the local Bay City Bombers play the New York Demons.

It's remarkably like pro wrestling on skates. Relatively scripted -- but I imagine they must leave room for just a bit of chance at the end. The house team (Bombers) actually lost the 2nd game to the New York team-- though I suspect the New York team isn't even from New York. They play the antagonistic visiting team, but it seems based on this site suspiciously hosted at baycitybombers.com, they're kind of like the Washington Generals playing the Harlem Globetrotters.

Next up: Monster truck rally!

Photos from a recent party we threw for Posterous Investors

Had a great time catching up with our investors! Sachin ordered some great takeout Indian food and we had it on the top floor conference center of my apartment building in San Francisco. Newest Posterati Brett Gibson and Vince Chu were there, as were investors, friends, and significant others.

The iPhone + posting to Posterous has really spoiled me -- it's so easy to just post from wherever I'm at by email that I just let my Canon SLR shots just kind of sit there for weeks on end. These were taken with my Canon 5D with 35mm f/1.4L lens.
