I just ate at Gracias Madre... believe it or not, it is an authentic Vegan mexican restaurant in the heart of the Mission.

Eating here made me realize why people are vegetarian/vegan. Eating vegetarian actually does make you feel healthier. Perhaps I'm just getting old, and boy do I ever enjoy a good 3x3 cheeseburger, but I can eat as much vegan stuff as I want and not feel heavy and bloated. You can appreciate the flavor of a thing. And no animals had to die for it to happen.

I am reminded of what Gracias Madre means... thank you Mother, and that is so fitting.

No photos this time, but I will definitely be back and I'll be sure to bring my SLR next time.

It was Mark's 29th birthday... So 29 of us got together and bought 29 burritos and held a blind taste test to find the best burritos in the Mission.

Winner? El Farolito's Carne Asada burrito.
