Illinoise, music, suffering, and life

I'm posting this to Garry in HD just because listening to it again on lala.com reminded me of how this album was such a touchstone of my life in 2006.

I had recently become Christian, and I used to listen to Casimir Pulaski Day over and over again because I was still trying to figure out the role of pain and suffering in the big picture. It's a question I haven't resolved yet, and perhaps may never resolve. But that's ok.

I think as Posterous has grown bigger, it becomes harder and harder for me to share the personal parts of my life. But maybe that's what sub-blogs are for. This is just my own personal scrapbook of things and people and food. So why not music? And ponderings. The standard livejournal-xanga type stuff that doesn't need to get shared with thousands. =)

Maybe just to facebook then.
