Mark and Sanny organized an awesome trip out to the Emigrant Wilderness in the Sierra Nevada mountains. On Day one we made out out to Camp Lake via the Crabtree Trail. It was impossible to get through to the trailhead, so we parked near the stables and walked the 3-4 miles instead via road. James and I had never hiked like this before, so we were pretty darn exhausted -- it was up a few thousand feet in elevation too so that didn't help.
Once we got to Camp Lake though, we were definitely treated to some really nice scenery and a relaxed evening of cooking, eating, and tending the camp fire.
