NYC Day 1 - Lox, Katz Deli, Macarons, Highline Park, Ippudo, Momofuku Milk, and PDT

First we headed to Russ & Daughters for lox and various other amazing fish products. And lox with bagels and onions. Fantabulous.

Then onwards to Katz's Deli for hot pastrami and split pea soup, possibly the best we've ever had.

After that, macarons from a very lux-oriented boutique food shop.

And then we headed to High Line Park on the west side of Manhattan. Really cool.

Dinner commenced at 5pm at Ippudo, the first and only of its kind in the United States. The broth was some of the best ramen soup I've ever had.
Then we were blessed by a few minutes to be able to check out Momofuku Milk, a dessert place in the East Village. The crack pie is worth its name and every dollar paid, 5, to be exact.
Finally we ended up at PDT, aka "Please Don't Tell", a secret speakeasy behind Crif Dogs in the East Village. You've got to call the place exactly at 3pm every night. Luckily Robin had the foresight to make that happen.  This is the phone you have to call to get entrance

Tater tots!

Dogs.

And the seemingly innocuous hot dog store that hid our speakeasy...

All in all, an amazing day of food and fun. Woo.
